Cooking Fun!

I decided to start this blog so I can keep track of freezer/ crockpot recipes and to easily share them with others who have been asking for the recipes. My dear friend Emily thought up a great/ lifesaving idea to get together once a month and make freezer slow cooker meals together. I was very excited about the idea. We have only done it 2 months so far so our recipes are limited, but we will keep adding more. Emily is the one who found all of the fabulous recipes from other blogs and through pinterest. We have a Weight Watcher point system attached to each of them as well. They are mostly all quite healthy and super easy.

The system we have down so far is to go take one Saturday a month, go grocery shopping for just the recipe items and then put them together for freezing. Emily has to feed about 5 adults with some leftovers for lunch the next day, mine need to feed 2 adults and 3 small picky children, so we usually have an abundance of leftovers. I might be halving my recipes in the future and just making two meals out of one. Emily sometimes doubles her recipes to make 2 meals. We plan to make about 8 different dishes each month. That gives us at least 2 freezer crock pot meals a week. We take the bags (Ziplock gallon freezer bags) out the day before to thaw in the fridge, throw it in the crockpot the next morning, and presto, dinner is served! LOVE IT! Hopefully you will find some recipes you will love too.
